Friland is an ecovillage where people experiment with organizing their daily lives differently, focusing on a sustainable lifestyle, debt-free living, and independent livelihoods. The cooperative association, Friland, was founded in 2002. Since then, Friland has expanded twice. In 2014, Friland comprised of 40 households with approximately 75 adults and 30 children
