Kardonkai Ecovillage is a collection of family homesteads on 40ha of land, in Lithuania. The project started in 2010 and currently has 45 members. Permaculture and community life are two pillars of life in Kardokai. There are 15 straw-bale buildings which consist of houses, small homes and school buildings. Kardokai Natur School was established in 2017 and organises seminars on straw bale constructions and hosts ecovillage festivals.
